How do I book an appointment?

Please call Spinney Brook or Woodford Medical Centre and ask the Receptionist to book you an East Northants Hub appointment at Harborough Fields Medical Centre. The service may also be offered to you proactively if you are calling for a regular GP or Nurse appointment.

  • Only patients who have an appointment will be seen
  • This is NOT a walk-in service
  • On-line appointment booking is not available

Please Note: The Hub appointments are for routine medical issues and not for urgent care. If urgent care is required after your own surgery is closed please call the NHS 111 service for advice. If you have a life threatening medical emergency call 999

How do I cancel a Hub appointment?

If you no longer need your Hub appointment please call Spinney Brook Medical Centre on 01933 650593 before 6pm to cancel your appointment.

It is important to cancel any unwanted appointments so that they can be made available to others.

Will I see my own GP?

The Hub will be staffed by GPs and Practice Nurses from local Practices. If you prefer to see your usual GP or Practice Nurse please book an appointment at your own surgery during normal opening hours.

Will my Medical Records be available?

To provide the safest and highest quality of care your full clinical record will be available to the Hub clinicians. However you will be asked by the Receptionist for your consent when you book your appointment and by the Clinician before they access your GP Medical Records. Notes from your Hub consultation will be sent back to your own GP electronically to ensure your GP Practice is kept up to date.

Can blood tests and other investigations be ordered and can I be referred into another service?

The Hub clinicians will be able to view your previous test results but will not order new ones unless it is urgent. If investigations are required a recommendation will be sent to your usual GP Practice. Routine referrals will not be made directly from the Hub, again a recommendation will be sent to your usual GP Practice.
